Who We Are

Gabe’s Homes was founded in 2013 in honor of Gabe Furey, Pastor Joe and Therese Furey’s son (of His Place Church in Westminster, CA) who passed away at a young age as a result of our ongoing opioid epidemic. Since inception, Gabe’s Homes has helped hundreds of individuals transition various difficult stages in life including veterans, the incarcerated transitioning out of prison, and those with a history of drug and/or alcohol dependency.

Our group homes serve as the standard for transitional living in Orange County and offer supervised, clean, and safe environments to help individuals become healthier, more productive members of society. Our faith-based approach to recovery allows those we serve to get to know Christ on a deeper level and provides the foundation needed to develop the skills that are essential for permanent restoration. Through our connections to education, employment, individual and group therapy programs, 12-step programs and spiritual activities at local churches, men and women learn how to live a fulfilling life free from the struggles they are facing.

Gabe’s Homes currently is operated by a number of volunteer staff who devote their time and experience to the betterment of others.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to provide safe and structured faith-based group transitional living homes to facilitate mental, emotional, physical and spiritual healing for men and women transitioning a difficult stage of life, with an emphasis placed on those recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction.
